Victoria Tyson is a Director of Corbett & Co International Construction Lawyers Ltd. A contentious construction lawyer with over 20 years’ experience in international construction law disputes. Exposure to many high profile and often politically sensitive international construction and engineering projects. Acts for governments and ministries, international contractors, and consultants. Particular expertise in complex international arbitration and specialist knowledge of the FIDIC forms of construction contract. Formerly with Masons (now Pinsent Masons) and Herbert Smith (now Herbert Smith Freehills). Qualified in both England and Wales and Hong Kong.

Victoria is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb) and is in the Executive Group of the Dispute Resolution Board Foundation (DRBF) UK. She is partnered with the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) Training and is working closely with the ICE Law and Contracts examination panel to update the ICE’s portfolio of eLearning courses which she first developed in 2016. She is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB).

Victoria writes Practice Notes for Lexis PSL on the FIDIC Forms of Contract, and contributes to other publications including ‘Light At The End Of The Tunnel? Gibraltar Dispute Reviews Key FIDIC Yellow Book Provisions’ ICLR [2014] 506. In March 2021 Victoria will be speaking at the Central and Eastern European DRBF Conference which is taking place remotely.  Currently she is preparing a series of webinars for the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors.
