It is not every day that a law firm sees its lawyers’ published articles handed up to the judge to consider as authoritative commentaries – and then be referred to as “erudite” in the judgment that follows!  Taner Dedezade, counsel with Corbett & Co, has just received such an accolade.

On 10 October 2014, Mr Justice Edwards-Stuart of the Technology and Construction Court of England and Wales handed down judgment in the case of Peterborough City Council v Enterprise Managed Services [2014] EWHC 3193 (TCC).   In his discussion the judge effectively complimented Taner on his learned contribution to the debate over the “gap” in the wording of Clause 20 of FIDIC’s Red, Yellow and Silver Books.  Taner Dedezade discusses this case, together with another very recent Swiss judgment, in his Knowledge Hub article  – where he is of course far too modest to mention Mr. Justice Edwards-Stuart’s accolade.
