Incorporation of Corbett & Co
On 1 January 2008,
the practice was incorporated as Corbett & Co
International Construction Lawyers Limited. All the business of Corbett & Co
was transferred to the Company as of that date. The service provided
to clients continues seamlessly. The Company is recognised by
the Solicitors Regulation Authority.
Appointment of Directors
Andrew Tweeddale and Steve Mangan
have joined Edward Corbett as directors of Corbett & Co International
Construction Lawyers Ltd.
The firm
is active all over the world advising clients and others on contract preparation
and negotiation, on dispute avoidance, management and resolution including,
if unavoidable, ICC or other arbitration or litigation.
Lecturing
and training on the FIDIC
contracts is an important subsidiary
activity, organised primarily through Cornerstone Seminars.
The
firm was founded in 1993 by Edward Corbett when he left the partnership
of Masons. The firm is now recognised as a leader in international
construction. The firm incorporated to become Corbett & Co International
Construction Lawyers Ltd on 1 January 2008.
